John Trap, figure de la scène bretonne, s'est imposé au fil de ses nombreux disques comme un compositeur à part, à l'univers singulier, immédiatement reconnaissable, qui mélange influences rock hétéroclites, de Eels à Iron Maiden (!), et réminiscences cinématographiques orchestrales.

L'art du sampling, dans lequel il est passé maître, lui permet de construire des miniatures pop oniriques au son puissant, à la poésie indéfinissable, plongeant dans l'enfance, ses souvenirs, ses blessures et ses trésors.

"1983", double album et troisième volet de sa trilogie Star Wars (après 1977 et 1980), en est l'illustration parfaite : du grand art.
